Parents and Caregivers’ Workshop: Supporting Children with Neurodivergence
August 24 @ 11:45 am - 1:00 pm
After the 10:30am worship service.
A one-time, free workshop for the congregation focused on recognizing and supporting children with developmental delays, autism, and other disabilities. The goal of this workshop is to equip families and caregivers, with knowledge and tools to better understand their children, foster inclusion, and access support when needed. This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Bryanna Molina, lead teacher in our Toddler Classroom and Clinical Director of a pediatric therapy center. She brings experience working with children with autism, developmental delays, and other needs. Childcare provided for parents that attend the workshop.
Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in a workshop of their own happening at the very same time! During this workshop, the kids will create a custom collage on a composition notebook for school led by fine artist and New World School of the Arts alum, Mika Kobayashi.
