Love Gala’s Love Still Lingers

WHAT A NIGHT! On February 27, 2010, the church was transformed into a stunningly elegant environment both physically and spiritually. Love was in the air and in our hearts and, as we know from the Bible, love changes everything. Therefore, the Love Gala changed us. It changed what we think is possible – for the Fellowship Hall, our budget, our ministry, and it changed what we perceive as the limits of what we can create together.

A special thanks to Brad Bonessi is much deserved for his vision of what this night could be and his determination to make it a reality. Also, special thanks needs to be given to Verna Reizen, Carol Newport, Trish McBride, Tiffany Cannava, Charlie Newton, Inez Couch, Billie Carpenter, Marty LaBrosse, Claude Rolle and Cornelius Armstrong, all of whom tirelessly and faithfully attended to the myriad details such an event as the Love Gala entails.

We also owe a special thanks to our Love Gala Sponsors, those who donated auction items, those who bought those items and all who attended. The generosity of each of you made the Love Gala the financial success it was as we raised $16,000 for the mission and programs of Church by the Sea.

Love begets love; and so it is with the Love Gala. Already there is energy and excitement for an even bigger and more glorious Gala next year. If you missed this year’s event, do not let Love pass you by next year for who knows what is possible for Love Gala 2012. Let us not be timid in our dreams, for with God all things are possible!
