The Church by the Sea offers an "open communion," which is to say, all are welcome to come to this feast of God's love. There are no restrictions, qualifications or limitations. Old and young are welcome. Persons of all faith backgrounds are welcome.
The meal is a sign of God's grace, and our mission is not to restrict its being shared, but to encourage all to taste and see how good God is. This is how many come to know God, through the life, death, resurrection and continued presence of Jesus the Christ.
At our Church we generally include Holy Communion in our worship services on the first Sunday of each month, as well as on other special occasions, such as Christmas Eve.
The highlight of Communion celebrations is on the Thursday before Easter, when we share that meal on the night Jesus initiated and gave us this sign of his forgiveness and presence.
